Sea Log, January 5th, 2006: The last day of diving on Blackbeard's! The weather is still great, the crew is
awesome, and as a group we are all still getting along!  If you are not hung over from the night before,
then chances are you are probably diving!  Here are some more pictures.  If you were on this cruise and
have pictures you would like to share with others, please send them to
jeshanks@novascuba.org.
As the cruise comes to end, we reflect on the beautiful sights, awesome adventures, new friends and
dive buddies and the whole Blackbeard's experience.  This was a great winter vacation for many of us
from very cold home towns. The constant 80+ degree temps and moderate water temps in the mid to
upper 70's made this a winter vacation none of us will soon forget.  So to my fellow Blackbeard Pirates,
until next time, a jolly Ho Ho and a barrel of rum punch!    Click on a picture to see the full size image.
I would like to once again thank each and every member of the Blackbeard's team for making our
vacation such a success!  Capt Jason who was always calm, cool (sometimes too cool) and ran a tight ship,
our comfort was first and foremost in his thoughts. First Mate Rick, was extremely helpful and very
knowledgeable, a great guy to hang out with and shoot the breeze. Chef John, besides being an
exceptional chef, his personality and helpful attitude brightened everyone's day on board! Engineer
Karen, always working, even after being taken ashore for stitches after the wild mackerel attack, Karen
was very helpful and brightened everyone's day, and last but not least our Dive Master, Trevor, what a
great guy, great sense of humor and extremely helpful.  We are all fortunate to have not only been on
the Sea Explorer, but to be with such a talented crew, Thank You!
Anyone on the cruise or the crew would like to have pictures added to this site, please send them to me
at jeshanks@novascuba.org.  Your comments are always welcome and appreciated.
