Sea Log, January 2nd, 2006: Another full day of diving in the crystal clear blue waters of the Bahamas. It
is hard to believe that it is January 2nd, as the weather is perfect at 80+ degrees and the water is
awesome. Spending your holiday's on a Blackbeard's cruise is incredible. If you were on this cruise and
have pictures you would like to share with others, please send them to jeshanks@novascuba.org.
2nd full day of diving, and what a great day! The reefs were clear and full of life. 4-dives todays, three
during the day, and one at night. Our afternoon dive, SHARKS! We went to Bull Run and fed the
Caribbean Reef Sharks the Mackerel we caught while fishing earlier in t he day. The sharks really enjoyed
the fish and put on quite a show for us. Our night was just as enjoyable, exploring a wreck and all the life it
has to offer. Click on the above pictures for a larger view.
When you think Blackbeard's, you think diving. But you also have to think people. Our crew was top
notch, the best of the best, and everyone appreciated the hard work they did everyday to make our trip
enjoyable. The passengers on this crew were pretty awesome too. They came from all over the world to
spend seven days on a sailing vessel and dive, dive, dive. Click on a picture to see the full size image.
One of the great things about Blackbeard's is the diversity. In a matter of minutes you can on a sandy
bottom watching a great reef shark swim overhead and the just moments later swimming along the reef
and watching all of the great colors and tropical fish!
Sea Log, Jan 4th, 2006, Day 4 on Blackbeard's, Rose Bowl, National Championship game is being
played in Pasadena, Calif. So what do you do if you can not make it to the game? Go diving, but don't
forget your Longhorn T-Shirt! Lots of good sights, great fish and good times. Tonight we will embark
on the island of Bimini and enjoy the towns people, spirits and good times, and of course watch a little
football!
So many pictures, so little web space. To see the pictures for last
day of diving, Click on the sun to the right ---->
Did anyone see that Dolphin jumping over the sun?
