Sea Log, Dec 31st, 2005: Bayside Pier 5, Miami, Florida. The crew awaits the new passengers for
Blackbeard's Dive Live-aboard cruise. Seven days in the beautiful, crystal clear waters of the
Bahamas. Everyone checks in, assigned spacious and elegant cabins and then we are on our way.
Below is a collection of photos from one of the last Blackbeard's cruises out of Miami. If you were on
this cruise and have pictures you would like to share with others, please send them to
jeshanks@novascuba.org.
Getting ready to go! The crew prepares the ship and boards the passengers. Check in is completed by
our Dive Master Trevor and Cook John BBQ's lunch before we depart. Capt. Jason sets sail for the
Bahamas and wastes no time, after all it is New Year's Eve! Click on the above pictures for a larger
view.
After watching the sun sizzle into the cool blue waters of the Atlantic ocean, the cast and crew of
Blackbeard's embarks on a New Years Eve celebration on the island of Bimini. I believe I heard many
of the passengers say: "What happens in Bimini, Stays in Bimini" Of course unless someone is taking
pictures and putting them on a web site!
Sea Log, Jan 1st, 2006, Day 2 on Blackbeard's brought many sights and adventures. We made four
dives today. Turtle Rocks, Stevie's Wonder and two dives at Crotch Rocks, the last being a night dive.
Dinner was a great spread of Spaghetti and Salad, and the evening found everyone sharing stories,
playing cards or relaxing on the deck before falling asleep to the roll of the ocean. Only 5 more days of
this, Can't I stay longer?
So many pictures, so little web space. To see the pictures for
Days 3, 4 and 5 Click on the sun to the right ---->
Did anyone see that Dolphin jumping over the sun?
