So, you want to learn SCUBA? Sea-Ventures is Northern Virginia's premier SCUBA training facility.
Our professional team of instructors is here to get you on your way in a safe and enjoyable atmosphere.
Sea-Ventures is a SSI (SCUBA Schools International) Platinum training facility, which means we have
met or exceed the standards required by SSI's industry standards.

You can easily learn SCUBA skills with Sea Ventures Open Water Diver course!

The SSI Open Water Diver course covers such topics as mask clearing, regulator clearing and retrieval,
entries and exits, dive physiology, equipment care and maintenance, safety, and environmental respect
and understanding.

Sea Ventures, Open Water Diver course can be tailored to meet your scheduling needs.

The course is broken down into two parts: (i) pool and academics; and, (ii) Open Water Certification.

The pool and academics portion can be completed in as little as 1 weekend or as long as 4 weeks
depending on your schedule.

A minimum age of 10 is required, and good general health. Families interested in learning to dive
together should know that at age 10, your child can become a junior diver. Please contact the shop for
additional details.

Upon successful completion of the course the candidate must do a series of five certification dives over
two days. These dives may be done locally with us or be done anywhere world-wide through the SSI
Universal Certification Program.
